Greg Shenkman loves the guitar and loves music in general. My six year old niece has shown an extreme interest in everything music. She adores the piano, loves the guitar, and attempts singing. I don’t know if she’ll go anywhere with her love of music but I think its great to encourage a child’s passion for music and the arts. For Christmas, I decided to get her her first acoustic guitar. I found a small pink one, perfect for a first guitar. Of course, If she stays interested and picks it up, then I will upgrade her next year, providing her parents aren’t sick of hearing it. I can’t wait until she opens up her guitar on Christmas and Greg Shenkman gets the chance to teach her a few chords.
Essential Guitar Accessories

Greg Shenkman here talking guitar accessories. Today I tried out Gibson’s Luthier’s Choice triple pack which consists of a 4 oz bottle of hi-gloss polish, a 4 oz bottle of string cleaner/lubricant. and a 4 oz bottle of fretboard conditioner.
What the string cleaner does for strings is simply amazing. I heard about this and similar products; however, I never used them. I figured when my strings get that dull, I’ll just change them.
Today was very busy and I didn’t have time to go and purchase strings, much less restring and tune the guitar. I thought “why not give the luthier’s pack a shot. This stuff was amazing in that it restored the original brilliance of my strings as it removed dirt and other buildup.
